Many would consider Lapo Berti as a purist winemaker! Lapo Berti runs a 2 acres domain in Piemonte, Italy. We consider him a true inspiration in the world of natural wines! Why? His grapes are dry grown, hand picked and spontaneously fermented. No addition of tartaric acid, malolactic bugs , fructose, tannins of any sort and sulphites are kept to a minimum, below the Demeter limit of 70 mg/l. The wine is then aged in used barrels and bottled unfiltered. This translates to a touching purity in each bottles.
